Ein Mädchen rettet die Welt

Eine Bewunderung.

Warum ist es wohl ein Mädchen? Greta Thunberg, fünfzehnjähriges schwedisches Mädchen mit Asperger-Syndrom, hat mit Beginn des Schuljahres 2018/19 gestreikt – ist nicht zur Schule gegangen, sondern zum schwedischen Parlament, das drei Wochen vor der Neuwahl stand, um die Rettung des Klimas einzufordern.

Anfangs wollten die Lehrer sie davon abhalten – dann solidarisierten sie sich mit ihr [o]. Nach der Wahl streikte Greta jeden Freitag weiter – bis heute.

In einem wunderbaren Artikel des ,Guardian’ spricht die ganze Unbedingtheit des Mädchens [o]:

“I am doing this because nobody else is doing anything. It is my moral responsibility to do what I can,” she says. “I want the politicians to prioritise the climate question, focus on the climate and treat it like a crisis.”

Und:

“I don’t care if I get into trouble at school. I believe that one person can make a difference.”

Und denen, die ihr sagen, sie solle lieber lernen, erwidert sie:

“I have my books here,” she says in flawless English. “But also I am thinking: what am I missing? What am I going to learn in school? Facts don’t matter any more, politicians aren’t listening to the scientists, so why should I learn?”

Wozu Fakten lernen, wenn die Politiker sich für die Fakten gar nicht interessieren? Wozu das tun, was ein Schüler ,tun sollte’, wenn die Politiker nicht das tun, was sie tun sollten, nämlich handeln? Greta tut mehr als die Politiker – sie handelt.

Ein junger Lehrer, der seinen Job riskierte, als er sich ihrem Streik anschloss, sagt:

“Greta is a troublemaker, she is not listening to adults. But we are heading full speed for a catastrophe, and in this situation the only reasonable thing is to be unreasonable.”

In einem eigenen Text schreibt Greta [o]:

The first time I heard about global warming, I thought: that can’t be right, no way there is something serious enough to threaten our very existence.
Because otherwise, we would not be talking about anything else. As soon as you turn on the TV, everything would be about this issue. Headlines, radio, newspapers. You would never read or hear about anything else.
As if a world war was raging.
But in fact, no one was talking…

Ein Mädchen empfindet den ganzen Wahnsinn, dass die Welt so tut, als sei nichts…

Schweden hat mit die ehrgeizigsten Klimaziele bis 2045, aber Greta sagt: too little, to late. Laut WWF habe Schweden weltweit den achtgrößten CO2-Ausstoß pro Person. Und sie kritisiert die Abstraktheit all jener, für die selbst das Jahr 2045 nur eine ferne Größe ist – denn sie, Greta, und all ihre Altersgenossen werden die nahende Katastrophe unmittelbar erleben [o]. In einem Video [o] von der UN-Klimakonferenz, die heute im polnischen Katowice endet, sieht man, wie dieses Mädchen die Dinge unmittelbar ernst meint, während die Erwachsenen hoffnungslos abstrakt und angepasst wirken.

In ihrer kurzen, tief eindrücklichen Rede auf der Konferenz sagte sie vorgestern [o o]:

You only speak of a green eternal economic growth, because you are too scared of being unpopular. You only talk about moving forward with the same bad ideas that got us into this mess, even when the only sensible thing to do is pull the emergency brake. You are not mature enough to tell it like it is. Even that burden you leave to us children. [...] Our civilization is being sacrificed for the opportunity of a very small number of people to continue making enormous amounts of money. [...]  The year 2078, I will celebrate my 75th birthday. If I have children, maybe they will spend that day with me. Maybe they will ask me about you. Maybe they will ask why you didn’t do anything while there still was time to act. You say you love your children above all else, and yet you are stealing their future in front of their very eyes. Until you start focusing on what needs to be done, rather than what is politically possible, there is no hope. We cannot solve a crisis without treating it as a crisis. [...] And if solutions within the system are so impossible to find, then maybe we should change the system itself. We have not come here to beg world leaders to care. You have ignored us in the past, and you will ignore us again. We have run out of excuses, and we are running out of time.

Für heute [o] ruft dieses Mädchen ebenso zum Streik auf wie für die weitere Zukunft.

Warum ist es wohl ein Mädchen? Weil ein Mädchen noch in der Empfindungssphäre leben kann und damit Berührung mit der Wirklichkeit hat – im Gegensatz zu allen anderen Seelen.

Und warum ist es wohl ein Mädchen mit Asperger-Syndrom, einer Form von ,Autismus’? Weil ein solches Mädchen sich wahrhaft auf die Wirklichkeit besinnen kann, während die moderne Seele in ihrem realen Autismus untergeht, lieber an Spaß und Genuss denkt, mit viel Selbstgefühl, aber ohne jede Fähigkeit von Hingabe.

Warum ist es wohl ein Mädchen...

Warum ist es wohl Greta?

Weil sie eines derjenigen Mädchen ist, die am meisten in der Wirklichkeit leben. Weil in ihrer Seele etwas Lebendig-Moralisches lebt, das sich unmittelbar, ohne jeden Widerstand, mit der Welt, mit der Wirklichkeit verbunden fühlt. Verantwortlich. Ohne jede Frage. Dies ist das real Moralische, dies ist die moralische Realität. Dies ist das eigentliche Menschenwesen. Dies ist die Seele.

Dieses Mädchen hat Seele. Es hat Mut. Es hat eine Bedingungslosigkeit. Es hat eine moralische Intuition.
